Using a 600mHz processor, so I can't go with the high end stuff.  Nevertheless, what a beautiful operating system.  And as of this moment, I apologise to every single person I have ever mocked for using the apt upgrade system.  Just fucking brilliant stuff, it is.

Print Story Theatre!
By CountSpatula (Tue Jul 24, 2007 at 03:45:05 AM EST) art, theatre, frustration, happiness (all tags)
Man, it's finally coming all around, after all this work.  It's seriously been quite some time since I've been this stoked about anything.  And now, since we've gotten the stage fully built and are now starting to build the seating risers, it's really coming around to kick me in the head.  My own goddamn theatre!

Print Story A little advice/help?
By CountSpatula (Mon May 28, 2007 at 11:12:46 AM EST) theatre, websites, frustration (all tags)
Hey everyone.  I've been named technical director for my theatrical group, Pegasus Players, and have been given the task of making the website look something other than that horrible crap.  However, the situation stands that I know only the basics of website stuff, and would like some advice or help on getting it looking 1337 enough for my director/president.

Print Story How can I afford this?
By CountSpatula (Mon Jan 22, 2007 at 05:26:49 PM EST) School, Terror, Bank Account (all tags)
Hi all.  I'm now going to Roosevelt University, majoring in comp-sci, minoring in philosophy.  And a four-credit course costs a trivial $2500.  Holy crap.

Okay, so they say that they need to cut out smoking amongst children.  Fine, raise the age to buy cigarettes (amongst other smoking things) to 18, make television commercials, whatever.

Alright, I've completely screwed my monitor, I think.  So, should I rewrite /etc/X11/XF86Config or something else?

Print Story The Vagina Monologues
By CountSpatula (Wed Feb 01, 2006 at 07:05:09 PM EST) (all tags)
So, it just happens, I'm stage managing The Vagina Monologues this year, for a paid public performance.  Pretty rad, I must admit, having to hang out with these ladies, listen to their pieces, and drink wine with them.  It's kinda weird that I'm male and doing this, but not really.  I mean, after all, you don't have to have a pussy to have feminist tendencies.

Print Story Torrenting question.

I asked in #husi, but the attention level there is noticably low, and besides, I figure it'd be faster to post this and wait for a response (or two) than to wait there for someone to answer.

Print Story I have a new nephew!
By CountSpatula (Tue Oct 18, 2005 at 01:15:34 PM EST) (all tags)
Just a few days ago, my sister gave birth to a fairly large (9lbs, 14oz, I believe) little baby boy.  This is nephew #2, the first one being born 13 years ago, pretty close to this time.  They've been trying to have a child for quite some time, so I'm happy they've finally succeeded.

Pictures, uncle-like doting and poll inside.
